Professor Franco Molteni
Director of Department of Rehabilitation Medicine @ Valduce Hospital of Rehabilitation, Villa Beretta
Prof. Molteni is currently Director of Valduce Hospital Rehabilitation Centre Villa Beretta. Prof. Molteni got his Medical Degree from Milan University in 1981. In 1984, he received an award by the Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has collaborated with international partners including Moss Rehabilitation Centre in Philadelphia, USA, the Valduce Rehabilitation Hospital in Egypt and since 2018 he is a Consultant for the Thumbay Group UAE.
He has collaborated with several universities in Italy, including the University of Padova, Torino, and Milan. Since 2000, he is director of the gait and motion analysis laboratory of the Valduce Hospital Rehabilitation Centre. Prof. Molteni has led and steered several research projects and scientific collaborations including ones funded by the CARIGEST Foundation, European Union, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Politecnico of Milan and the Italian National Council of Research.
From 2002-2006, Prof. Molteni was Director of the Italian Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine. He is a member of the Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Member of the Italian Society Clinical Movement Analysis and Member of the Valduce Foundation. Since 2002, he is also a Consultant for the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Istituto Neurologico “C.Besta” in Milan.
