Ekso Indego Personal User & Veteran

Vicky Garrison served in the US Air Force from 1986 to 1990 and then in the Army Reserves for another four years. During her time in the Air Force, Vicky was awarded the AF Commendation Medal for meritorious service and the John L. Levitow Award, the highest enlisted Professional Military Education awarded in each class. Vicky has worked in various fields, including office administration, bookkeeping, restaurant management, aircraft avionics, respiratory therapy, computer programming, and website development. In 2003, Vicky was diagnosed with cervical stenosis and myelopathy, resulting in permanent spinal cord damage and wheelchair use. After completing her rehabilitation stay, Vicky returned to homeschooling her four children, ages seven to fourteen, while finding unique ways to adapt to her new circumstances. Vicky joined the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) in 2015 and has since been actively involved in the Minnesota chapter, serving one year as chapter secretary and multiple years as president. In her role at MNPVA, Vicky works alongside nine other directors to serve veterans affected by spinal cord injuries and disease.
